The Power House Band plays its Black Diamond debut!

Saturday, May 3, 2104. Teaching begins at 7:30 pm, dance 8:00 – 11:00. Requested donation $8 adult, $4 under 18. In the Black Diamond Community Hall, Port Angeles.

Come prepared to be blown away by the young Power House Band! You gotta be good to live up to a name like that, and these kids do it with style. Led by the powerful 14 year old fiddler Kate Powers, and backed up by her siblings and friends, this is an up-and-coming local band. Kate already plays in the first violin section in the Port Angeles symphony, and can fiddle up a storm. She plays a variety of dance music from Old Time to ragtime to a Venezuelan waltz that will amaze you. The Power House band has a big strong sound, and a huge appetite for new tunes and variations to keep the evening interesting.

Caller Carol Piening returns to bring fun dances for everyone

Carol, a veteran caller from Olympia, has called for us annually for years. She always brings a variety of popular dances to keep everyone moving joyfully to the music. She will be sure to help you feer comfortable and ready to dance with her clear instruction and friendly guidance.
