The Contra Band
The Contra Band is a collection of awesome local musicians that play some of the most energetic dance music out there. This month, regulars Joey Gish, David Rivers, and Will Jevne will play. We book these musicians as often as they are available; because they’re SO good. You will find that you have more energy to dance than you thought when you entered the hall.

Carol started calling contra dances 30+ years ago and called for us frequently until Covid. Our dance has always been one of her favorites, so she’s delighted to come out of retirement to call for us. She aims to select dances – and teach them efficiently – so dancers have maximum time to enjoy the dancing, the live music, and each other’s company.
