Springtide is Willy Clemetson (fiddle and foot percussion), Elsie Gawler (cello), and Ethan Tischler (guitar). Known for playing raucous fiddle tunes that get you up and dancing, they play contra dances all over New England and bring the rugged beauty and heart of coastal Maine with them here to our own rugged coast.
Victoria Beauchesne will be new to our stage, but she’s not new to calling. She danced her first contra dance in Ottawa and moved to the west coast in 2005, where she co-founded Victoria Contra Dance in 2006. She writes and calls both English and Contra dances, and sometimes sits in at the piano with the Dancehall Players.
